Anthony Joshua

Anthony Olufemi Olaseni Joshua, British professional boxer. He is a two-time world heavyweight champion, having held the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles since December 2019 and before that from 2016 to June 2019. In the region, he held the UK and Commonwealth Heavyweight titles from 2015 to 2016. As an amateur tennis player Joshua represented England at the 2011 World Championships in the lightweight category, winning the silver medal. He also represented the United Kingdom at the 2012 Olympics, winning the gold medal.

In 2014, a year after he turned pro, he was named Prospect of the Year by The Ring magazine. In 2017, his winning bout against Wladimir Klitschko was honored by The Ring and the American Boxing Writers Association as Match of the Year. Joshua is the second British boxer, after James Diggle, to win an Olympic gold medal and a world title by a major professional sanctioning agency, and the first British heavyweight fighter to do so.
