Fraser won the world heavyweight boxing title in 1970 after defeating Jimmy Ellis in New York, and held the title until his defeat by George Foreman in 1973.

Fraser made boxing history after his three epic matches against Muhammad Ali, winning the gold medal for the United States in the heavyweight division at the Tokyo Olympics in 1964 and retaining the world title for this weight between 1970 and 1973.

Fraser was famous for his ferocity in boxing and for directing strong and elaborate punches to his opponents, especially with his left hand, which was often a knockout. Fraser family

He has a large family consisting of 12 brothers and sisters, and he is the youngest of them. His father is Mr. Robin Fraser and his mother is Mrs. Dolly Fraser. His family is of average condition, so his father and mother worked as farmers.

Joe Fraser left school at the age of thirteen, and when he was fifteen, he moved from Carolina to New York to live with his brother and look for a job.

Joe Fraser had a very difficult life at first because of the lack of money and the lack of suitable jobs.

Like any young man in the prime of his life who did not find enough to earn his living through legitimate means, Fraser began stealing some auto parts and was selling them in Brooklyn to junk shops.

But this situation did not satisfy Joe Fraser himself, as he is ambitious and always dreamed of becoming something important in the future.

He had dreamed of becoming a famous professional boxer, a dream he had had since childhood, and he wanted to be the next Joe Louis.

As he grew older, his dream began to grow with him, and financial circumstances did not push him to abandon his great dream.

Joe Fraser then moved to Philadelphia and worked there in a slaughterhouse, where his job was to sanitize beef on both sides in a cold room for meat storage.

This scene served as an inspiration for the actor (Sylvester Stallone) in the 1976 movie Rocky.

Professional Joe Fraser

Joe Fraser received his training under the supervision of coach Durham, as Fraser was then a young man in the prime of his life dreaming of being a champion one day.

Durham helped him a lot in achieving his dream, as he contributed to increasing the strength of Fraser's heart and shortening his fist, and Fraser quickly achieved success.

He won many prizes and tournaments, including the Mid-Atlantic Gold Championship, and achieved great success in this tournament, which he won 3 years in three consecutive times.

He also participated in the 1964 Summer Olympic Games, which was held in Tokyo, and won the gold medal in heavyweight boxing.

After this session, Joe Fraser turned professional in 1965, becoming one of the professional boxers, and setting many records in just one year or less.

He was partially crowned as a heavyweight boxing champion in 1968, because world champion Muhammad Ali Clay deprived him of the championship.

This was the beginning of the spark in Joe Fraser's relationship with Muhammad Ali Clay, and the battles that would begin between them to make Joe Fraser on the throne of the world for three years.

The match of the century between Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali Clay

Although Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali are professional boxers and respect each other, they were not friends.

The relationship between them was a challenge and battles to take the title of world champion, and there were many quarrels among them that were going out on the ring, so Clay called Fraser Uncle Tom and the gorilla.

Although more than 50 years have passed since the fight of the century, it is still stuck in the minds of everyone who watched it, and it has its steadfast and great position among all other boxing matches.

Joe Frazier faced the hero, Muhammad Ali Clay, on the eighth of March 1971 AD, in one of the heavyweight boxing tournaments.

It is worth noting that there is no champion who won or took away the championship from Clay, as he is the world champion whose record is free of loss.

This match, which was called (The Battle of the Century), was held in New York City, in the (Madison Square Garden) arena.

This fight was the global move for Joe Fraser and the first loss to the hero Muhammad Ali Clay, and the decision to win Joe Fraser came from the majority of the referees, which gave this fight a special character.

And he remained stuck with everyone and the leader of all international boxing newspapers, despite the passage of more than half a century.

It is worth noting that Muhammad Ali Clay had completely stopped playing about three years before this fight, due to the many legal issues that were haunting him.

After this fight, Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali Clay earned $ 2.5 million, a figure that no one has ever taken in boxing history.

And the payment-for-view system had been activated, because all people were waiting for this meeting and were desperately flocking to it.
